Theresa Miller has almost 30 years’ experience in the media. As a professional and dynamic media and presentation skills trainer, she’s coached thousands of people across all industries in the art of mastering media interviews, public speaking and corporate writing. Theresa is also a sought-after MC and panel moderator for corporate and charity events.
She is particularly passionate about helping academics and subject matter experts share their stories more widely with lay audiences, and is keen to see more women step up to the microphone, too.
In her early career a television journalist, Theresa worked as a reporter, producer and presenter in Britain and Switzerland, including Sky News-UK, Good Morning Britain, CNN and the Zurich-based European Business Channel.
In Australia, she reported on-camera for Channels Seven, Nine, ABC and SBS-TV, including Channel Seven’s prime time Australia’s Most Wanted. Theresa also produced on Radio National for Life Matters.
During the 2000 Olympic Games, Theresa was a special media adviser to the Lord Mayor of Sydney.
Theresa is the author of two books, Making Babies – Personal IVF Stories and The Spin Doctor’s Wife and sat on the IVF Australia Ethics Committee for ten years.
She has written for many publications, including The Australian, The Medical Republic, Mamamia and The New Dailyand regularly ghost-writes corporate content.
She’s lectured in journalism at UNSW, Macquarie and Sydney University.
